Anna Nicole Smith's ex-boyfriend Larry Birkhead, who is fighting to prove he is the father of the former Playboy Playmate's 6-month-old daughter Dannielynn, has parted ways with his attorney, Debra Opri.
"Larry Birkhead and I have terminated our attorney-client relationship effective immediately," Opri said in a statement. "I wish Larry the very best of luck in his continuing efforts to prove that he is Dannielynn's biological father. My prayers will be with Larry and Dannielynn always."
Opri has represented Birkhead in his fight to prove his paternity and ultimately get custody of Dannielynn. Howard K. Stern, Smith's companion, maintains that he is the father and currently resides in the Bahamas with Dannielynn.
TMZ.com reported that Birkhead sent Opri an e-mail discharging her last Tuesday, but Opri told the entertainment show “Extra” that she "just had enough," implying that Birkhead is working with Stern behind her back.
"I can't represent a client who has a middle man by the name of Howard K. Stern. I feel very comfortable in my decision, and I wish Larry the best. But I am worried about him," she said.

There is so much we are not being told,......but ******** talking with Stern is a BIG no-no to an attorney that represents him. Very, very stupid! In my humble opinion, I think money is another issue, lawyers getting paid and the such. Larry might getting very desperate, realizing Dannilynn being a Bahamian citizen,....he has no rights recognized. How about Larry trying to blackmail Howard? "Give me enough money, and I'll disappear'. There are so many variables here,......and that poor child caught in the middle.

Because for some reason Larry is consulting with Howard. Big Mistake, and his attorney knows it. I dont blame her for quitting. Hes being stupid.*

For some odd reason,they seemed real close(maybe too close).I mean I like Burkhead,but the always seemed to be very close,and talked like lip to lip.Maybe they have a "thing" going.
Also he would do anything to see Dannilynn,and Stern holds the key to that.So maybe he fired her Friday b/c she said he needed to "put up or shut up".And this comment could very well upset Stern enough to not let Burkhead see the baby.

She claims she quit because of undue influence from Howard K. Stern. Who knows?
