I have my BS degree and hoping to seek a job that pays me at least $35,000-40,000 / yr. During an interview: When should I expect to know about the salary they would offer me OR how should I bring up about the salary I am expecting?

Don't bring it up.

If asked, say market rate.

If they ask for a figure, give them a range.

Salary.dom has good info on the salary range for your degree and zip code.

You can research salary levels by experience and geographic area on websites like salary.com, or by acting like a job seeker and researching positions on monster or hotjobs (some of them list salaries.)

How you bring it up in the interview is, "Can you tell me what the salary range is for this position?" If they press you for a number before they tell you the range, indicate that you really want to understand the position requirements and pay range before you ante up with a number.

Good luck!

Do you have experience? If not just wait and see what they offer, then make your decision.
