yes, chances are that you were raised in an environment that said being naked wasnt acceptable so being nude in front of someone is awkward, also the pressure we experience from the media to be "perfect" makes geting naked even more difficult. but your body is the greatest thing you will have, dont ever feel ashamed of it, or scared of it, or worry what anyone thinks of it. it is amazing and beautiful

Yes, it is normal. I found that a combination of two factors allowed me to be more confident about it:
1) A very close, intimate relationship with a dedicated partner, who was willing to share fantasies, thoughts, stories, and such; and explore our combined sexuality
2) Standing in front of a mirror naked until I learned to love and accept what I saw there.
Once I got some confidence, the rest, as they say, is history!

Yeah unless you've done it many times before. Such as being nude in front of your bf/gf for the 100th time, you shouldn't be shy about it at that point.

well yeah your like fully exposed so its ok if you feel a bit embarassed.
whats not normal is that you feel over exposed if you tie your hair into a ponytail. i have that insecurity lol so dont worry about it.
