I hate the silent treatment either way. If you value the relationship, be the bigger person and break it for the sake of the relationship. Life is to short and not talking is getting neither of you anywhere. I'm not in the relationship any longer but If I added up all the time we were both silent for the 12 years we were together, we probably lost a whole year os being together and I know we were both miserable.

I hate the silent treatment!! I have always been the one to break it because I can't keep my mouth shut for any length of time. If we are arguing, I'm determined to get my point across. Besides, how are you going to resolve anything if you don't speak?

Call a truce and talk it out. Be the bigger person.

Doesn't matter who started it. The silent treatment is never a winner in a relationship. Communicate and be happy.

the silent treatment is so childish and infantile............... but.........i'll be switched if i will be the one to break it.
they started it and sooner or later, they'll break it.
i'm stubborn and i am tired of being the one giving in!
so my vote is stick with it and let them come crawling!
sorry, but to me breaking the silence someone else started is like apologizing when you aren't wrong. no way.
stand strong!

If this is a person you care about then break it. Someone has to be first. If it goes on to long you could lose a valuable relationship.
