In a way pockemon does promote animal cruelty but it also shows love and compassion for pets. Just look a pickachu and ash.

It does, to an extent, as everyone sends off their Pokemon, which are kinda equivalent to animals or pets, to fight other for fun.

However, it also promotes friendship and companionship among you and the Pokemon/animals, that they are not just there for your entertainment, and that they have feelings as well, just like you or I.

As a personal opinion, I don't think so; because they are not really animals; as "Pokemon" stands for pocket monsters.

It promotes cruelty to people. My brother in law got a pikachu tatoo on his arm. I'm sure it hurt really bad

Well...unless that one time you tried to cram your chihuahua "pikachu" into your hamsterball ("pokeball") doesn't count as animal cruelty...then...no.

no, their pokemon, not animals, so they are promting the cruelity and exploitation of pokemon,,, though some pokemon are bred to fight like pitbulls,,, if they were, I'm sure peta would have already been involved,,,
