About 3 months in the US. Varies by local school district and changes slightly year to year based on cancellations due to snow days, etc.
Colleges generally get a little longer break.

Unfortunately too long some summers and not long enough other summers..lol..lol..Most states go with the 3 month rule, although it's not usually 3 months because they attend school til sometime in June. I'm mom to 3 and have lived in all but 3 of our 50 states.

not long enough! just kidding, usually school lets out sometime early- to mid- June and sarts back up again in early-September. we're one of the lucky districts, we go to school for 180 days and summer break is 185 days. â¥

Well, when I get out of school, I have 2 months and two weeks. But, it's not much of a vacation for me because I work.

Depends on your school district. From June 7th-August 28th. Sometimes you don't get out of school until June 10th and go back to school around August 21st. Check with your school district.
