yes i have a crystal platter from christmas last year and nobody remembers bringing it so next year i am going to make a cheese platter for my dish to pass and hopefully someone will claim it. if they dont then i guess i am bringing it home and i am the new owner.

Yep...happens all the time. I just start asking ppl if they r missing any dishes. If they don't answer or say no then keep them, toss them, sell them, whatever!
