If not, then how do I do this? 2 ide slaves with a SATA master...how would that work? Do I make the IDE slaves? Or what? The SATA doesnt have a master jumper setup...does the bios just recognize the SATA as master?

So I just set the IDE drives like they are now...cause I have this computer im disassembling. So I just have a master with slave present, with a slave...and the SATA will run as master over IDE?

SATA drives use a different controller than IDE drives. You can set the IDE drives just like you normally would if the SATA wasn't hooked into it and vice versa. The BIOS does manage the SATA drives on it's own because the motherboard will have slots labeled 1 through however many slots you have on your board. As for transfer speeds you're always going to be limited to whatever the slowest of the group is. In this case you will be limited to whatever the IDE drives can perform at.
