My fiance and I have been having unprotected sex for years and have had several pregnancy scares but this time it is different. I never let him ejaculate in me until about a 1 1/2 to 2 weeks ago. Since then he has ejaculated in me about 5 times. I came on my period on March 11 and went off March 13. This is the shortest period I have ever had. The second and third day of my period I had a brown discharge not a red one. On the 14th of March I woke up in the middle of the night and threw up. I have been feeling nauseas since but haven't thrown up. And to make matters even worse I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's disease. I am not sure if it is just my sickness or me being pregnant. I stopped taking birth control about nine months ago. Can the birth control still be in my system? Am I overreacting? What can I do? Am I pregnant? Please give me your best advice. Thank you.

If you haven't taken a pregnancy test I would do so. I do not know enough about Crohn's disease to say that this is not the reason you were sick but I do know that illnesses can cause your period to be late, missed, or be abnormal.

What kind of medications are you currently taking? Certain medications such as contraceptives (oral, implanted, and injected), oral corticosteriods, antidepressants, antipsychotics, thyroid, and some chemotherapy drugs may cause amenorrhea for some women.

With Crohns disease women may experience more discomfort and more symptoms during certain points in their menstrual cycles. Some theorize that this is due to hormonal fluctuations that occur during or leading up to ovulation or menstruation.

My suggestion is that you visit your physician.

I would take a pregnancy test or go to the doctor. You're story sound just like mine. Me and my fiance having been dating for 3 years and for about a year and a half having unprotected sex and he comes inside me. I have an irregular period anyway but this last time I was really pregnant. I was 6 weeks and didn't know because I didn't have any symptoms such as morning sickness or anything. Just my breast did get bigger. Normally my period would be a month or 2 late then show up a couple days later. So i would go to the doctor to be safe because PT don't always work.

My last period was on the same three days and my husband & I have been trying to get pregnant since July. The 11 it was heavy (like normal), the 12 it was bearly there and the 13 it was brown and was pretty much over. And I also have been slightly nausas over the past 2 weeks off and on. Definitely take the HPT and let us know the outcome, it would show some of us that there still is some hope even if you still have what seems to be a period. Either way if you are or you aren't you are not over-reacting.

It is unlikely that you are pregnant. The fact that you had a period is strong evidence that you are not pregnant. Symptoms of pregnancy usually do not appear til well after a month. The birth control you previously took would not have any effect now. It might be wise to get a pregnancy test but not
for another 3 weeks. Best regards.

The only way to know is to take a test. You could have had implantation bleeding if the three days of bleeding where much shorter than your normal period and much lighter...and brown. I did have brown spotting with my first pregnancy. Take a home test and see. No, I don't think your birth control pills are still in your system after 9 months. They are pretty much gone after you stop taking them. Best of luck.

you could be prego, but i would talk to your doctor or take a test, i decide to take a test because my period was just one day long and i was getting sick, they say that morning sickness doesnt start til week 5 or 6, but my started before i took the over the counter test, it was yes, i went to the doctor to be sure and i was about 3 weeks along...i had always been on birth control and just came off two months and my husband had just started ejaculating in me as well, it doesnt take but one time and one little guy to make it happen, good luck!!

i would take the test as soon as possible and consult with your doctor because the meds that you are taking for the crohn's could harm the baby

Congrads You maybe pregnant you should get blood test and ultra sound this early either way if you have any illness that effects you digestion. that could effect the outcome of your pregnancy being healthy if you are pregnant you need prenatal care immediatley to ensure that you are healthy enough through out your pregnancy if you are the md may want to watch your calorie intake etc this early i believe.

My last period was exactly like yours(Feb 24-26).My next period was due yesterday and never came.I have taken four pregnancy test, and there all positive. You could be pregnant. As for the birth control,it would not be in your system still.Take a pregnancy test the day your next period is due.It may be to early to get a positive test right now. However, if you want to test, it wont do no harm.Just be sure to retest if it's negative.

Hello. I think the sickness of you throwing up could of been just nerves. That is way too quick to have what they call "morning sickness". After 9 months the birth control is definately out of your system. Relax a little and go to a Drug Store and purchase an over the counter pregnancy test to reassure yourself. I wish you well.

BIRTH CONTROL IS NOT STILL IN YOUR SYSTEM AND THE CHANCES OF YOU BEING PREGNANT IS EXTREMELY HIGH. AFTER ALL HOW DO YOU GET PREGNANT? WHEN THE SPERM IMPLANTS THE EGG. IF YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND ARE HAVE UNPROTECTED SEX AND HE IS EJACULATING INSIDE OF YOU THE CHANCES ARE PRETTY DARN HIGH.

YOU ARE NOT OVERREACTING, IT HAPPENS TO US WOMEN. I SWEAR IF YOU ARE SEXUALLY ACTIVE SOON AS YOU MISS ONE FREAKIN PERIOD YOU ARE FREAKING OUT LIKE AM I OR ARENT I. THE ONLY WAY TO KNOW IS THE TEST. WITH MY DAUGHTER I HAD THE SHORTEST PERIOD IN MY LIFE 3 DAYS I DIDNT THINK I WAS PREGNANT AT THE TIME BECAUSE WE USED THE FAMOUS PULL AND PRAY METHOD BUT GUESS WHAT SHES 3 NOW.

TAKE THE TEST AND GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!
