red is associated with negativity, eg:- in the red,red pen to highlite mistakes at school. there is no such thing as doing something that brings ya bad luck, things will happen no matter what you do(good or bad)we just look for reasons for an explanation.

In the military, red ink is symbolic of "signing in blood" (and also helps distinguish the original signed document from a carbon copy or traditional photocopy.

When I signed documents for my security clearance, I used red ink. For other forms, we always used black ink.

I never write checks with any other color than black unless there is no other way to fill it out.

its not bad luck but it reminds me of college. Getting those essays back covered in red comments. Go for pink ink, more individual.

I've never heard of such a thing. The only thing I am aware of is that you can ONLY write with a black pen on legal documents.

Not as far as I know.
Green is supposed to show disregard for authority.

And the correcting mistakes thing? trainee teachers are encouraged to use different coloured pens..but NOT red, as one person has said..red is used to draw attention to mistakes...
but what the heck...and if you are using different coloured paper..who cares..I regularly use bright yellow paper. :D

But if you need to copy whatever you are writing..please use black..as it is the best colour to copy...other colours copy much fainter
