My grandparents were disabled for a long time before they passed away...
We would routinely load up the tools and head to their house to work and give back a little to two people that gave us so much. As a bonus we got to spend quality time with grandma and grandpa.

My county has a program that repairs homes for the indigent and elderly and I know Ohio does also. Check with your county government. All the programs I am familiar with are handled on a county level. Habitat For Humanity is also a good idea as someone else suggested.

1. "Floating" has the best answer. Barring that, have her move in with you. If not you then another of her children, her sisters or brothers.
Families should take care of families. That clearly is not the job of the government. Even if there are "programs" that are available.
Your family should do the right thing and take care of yourselves and your Mom...yourselves.

If she's disabled, there's too many programs to list. The best program would be family and friends going over each weekend, and do a little fixing.

I would be willing to bet none of these suggestions will help or be useful, sorry but here is a plan that would be put into law if we had a true direct consensus democracy instead of a Republic of that is suppose to utilized democracy in a election process! Which is fake & all corrupt http://www.usbig.net/ What ever it takes to remove the corruption & legally amend the constitution! best of luck!

Contact the housing office and just ask questions. It varies from state to state.

nope, Bush is spending all our money on Iraq, but that worthless socialist Chavez will sell her discounted oil so she doesn't have to freeze in the winter. Ironic isn't it?
perhaps if she is willing to move to Iraq she could get some help from the Fed.
