I never really thought about this. I suppose you're vajay-jay area stays nice and warm, so for the comfort factor, maybe??

I think it ,s a comforting position. i dont do it. but i have 2 girls and 1 boy who do. and 2 girls who sleep in a fetal position and tuck their hands between their knees .then i have this boy that lies on his chest with his knees tucked up under him and his butt in the air. thats the one that confuses me!no way thats comfortable!
