Nylon sheets I remember them.
The worst thing was I had nylon sheets AND brushed nylon nighties.

I remember the pre duvet days when making my bed was quite a chore with about 6 sheets! Tadpoles and white dog muck seem to have disappeared now. Very hot summers and freezing winters, laying on the back seat of dads Granada on long trips (no seat belts) and finally the amusements at the seaside had such great games which there was nothing like to play at home. Maybe a little more innocence amongst kids as well?

I loved my childhood, and wish I could turn back time. My parents worked very hard to provide good meals and we always hed a summer holiday to the seaside. I too remember pink panther bars, they were pink straberry flavour choc, tooty fruities, jelly tots, spangles. I loved watch with mother, Trumpton, camberwick green and Mr Benn. I had a tressy doll, the hair grow with a press of her belly button, and I had Sindy dolls, and Pippa dolls [which my daughter now owns]. I was 1 of 4 girls.

The Silver Jubilee in 1977 really sticks out in my mind.
We had a huge street party and played loads of games all the kids were given a commemorative mug and a coin (the mug sadly didn't last very long) but I still have the coin.
All the neighbours chipped in and supplied the food and drinks and we had a record player rigged up outside (all mod cons).
All our elderly neighbours got tipsy and danced until very late on and we had a thoroughly wonderful time.

Wishing I had a big wheel or a green machine. Playing rockem sockem robots with the girl down the street. Wishing the easy bake oven the girls had actually worked.
Of course as a boy, I spent the vast majority of my time digging trenches in the backyard for my Marx toy soldiers. Those were the days.

Cordaroy trousers, patterned dresses (A-line) the test card and I loved my Pippa doll until I was sick all over her. Her hair was never the same again!
Oh and nylon sheets that would spark in the dark!
