How do you make a jean skirt out of old jeans??

i have old pairs of jeans i want to turn them into skirts but i dont how can someone explain to me how too!!??? please??

You need jeans for somebody wider in the hips and legs than you are. You cut out the crotch and the inside half of the legs, the sew the outside parts of the legs together.

you can cut the legs of ur jeans the size u want if u want it really short or a bit long then u can cut the middle that closes it sew and ull have a skirt! by the way i did 1 like that and it looks really cute;}

Split the inseams and sew fronts to fronts and backs to backs, trimming the excess crotch away making straight seams.

Another fun thing is to take kids jeans and sew the waist band and zipper part to the collar of an adult T-shirt. Making the waist band/zipper into the collar. They are cute.

you can make a really cool pair by using a pair of seam rippers (at wal-mart) 1.97 the go along the croch line and stick the pointy part of the seam ripper in and unravel it all. After that use the sissors to cut the length.

pull the stitches out of the seam that runs the inside of the legs, now sew the two front legs together in the middle , and the two back legs together in the middle, now it is a skirt, cut it to the length you want, leave it un- hemmed at the bottom, wash it and it will fray, cool.
