When everything is all said and done, it all comes down to one thing, we are ALL humans.

...However, I do think Angelina Jolie is making a serious impact on America, possibly the world by adopting so many children. I think it is the most positive / negative thing someone has done in a long time.

Positive - More people are adopting throughout the nation, more people consider adopting as an option. I am adopted and I commend Angelina highly for what she is doing.

Negative - adopted children has become a trend in Hollywood. It seems like people are adopting children more for the fact of getting attention than really anything else.

Now there are people who have adopted 20 disabled minors in America and that has gone practically unnoticed.

Do they matter? They're actions impact society if we like it or not.
Do we care?

Celebrities in the media don't really matter at all. They're entertainers and what they do is just that. Entertain people, now the people that really matter are YOUR celebrities.Your personal heroes, and loved ones. Those are the celebrities that are really on your walk of fame.At the end of the day, celebrities are nothing but amusers that makes us get entertained and have a good time with gossip but nothing else.

Celebrities do matter. Because they own a majority of the money in America. So they have to matter. Because all we care about is money. Am I right??

If we stopped paying attention to them the problem would clear itself up; no more celebrities.

No, not really. They're just a distraction from what's really happening. And such a good distraction that most people have forgotten the horrors in our soicety.

they don't matter to me, but they play an important role in our society, they are role models to younger children unfortunately, and their actions and behaviors influence others

Nope. They are no different than you or I. The only difference is they are in movies, on tv, etc.
