i was thinking about getting an ipod nano (2GB) do you have to use itunes for songs or can you use a different way....because i heard it only lets you use itunes

i mean do you have to BUy the songs from itunes....i have songs on my computer already...could i use those???

You have to use the program iTunes to load the songs into the iPod but the songs doesn't have to come from the iTunes Store. If you have songs on your PC already, and if they are mp3 format then you can put them in your iPod without a problem. As long as the files are mp3 format, it really doesn't matter where they come from, the iPod will play them.

yes, ipod nano- downloading of songs will have to channel through a program named iTunes,anyway, you can get this free.when already have this,simply copy your songs at iTunes and choose from there as to which songs you want to download to your player.googluck!

There are some third party tools like Floola. Floola is a freeware application to efficiently manage your iPod or your Motorola mobile phone (any model supporting iTunes). It can be run directly from your iPod and needs no installation under Linux, Mac OS X and Windows (Windows Vista is supported). Floola supports all most common used features including podcasts!

I've tried it myself and it works great.... All you have to do is go to the listed website and download it, its free... All the best...

you can get the songs from cds but you have to download them to itunes.
