There are many causes of dark circles, from age, heredity, allergies, cold or sinus infection, bone structure and glasses which are not so commonly known.

If you would like to apply home remedies to reduce dark circles, here are some of my suggestions:
Buy a box of regular, old fashioned unflavored gelatin (e.g. Knox) from grocery store. Take a small cup or bowl and put in 1 teaspoon of the gelatin mix. Add one tablespoon of boiling water & stir for a minute. Test it on your wrist to make sure it is not too hot. Then, using a cotton ball, pat it under your eyes as you would an eye cream or gel. Go lie down and listen to some music, or take a bath & let it stay on for at least 30 minutes. Then just rinse it off.Gelatin is very high in Vitamin K & Biotin. It will not remove your dark circles on the first application (but you will notice a difference), but if you do it daily for a week, and then 2-3 times a week for maintenance, you should notice a drastic reduction in dark circles.

The thing about dark under eye circles is that it may be caused by a number of factors. either your not getting enough sleep/unhealthy diet or its simply just part of your genetic make-up and nothing you do, lotions, drinking more water, vitamins... etc will get rid of them. if you are maintaining an unhealthy life style then you might try to get more sleep, eat healthier, drink water all that good stuff. otherwise, they are there to stay. You can always consider some type of cosmetic surgery to have them removed.

HI there. Id love to help you and I hope what I tell you can help you. If you look at my picture can you tell i have any flaws? Underneath that makeup I have the most hideous DEEP scars from acne. It makes me look like a monster. I use a makeup called DERMABLEND. You buy the makeup (variety of shades) you can buy a dark and one light to mix together to find your shade, that's what I do.. then you buy the setting powered which is necessary to use after the makeup. Its very easy to apply, just apply on your face, use the setting powder and brush off. Its simply just wonderful. Just try it, i know you will love it. It covers anything from acne, scars, blemishes, pigmentation, birthmarks, even tattoos, and more. Give it try. Its not just makeup, its leg and body cover as well. :-)Good Luck!
For a cream to help clear them, try HYLEXIN. (made for serious dark under eye circles)

Healthy life style, adequate liquid intake & plenty of sleep for long term advice. For emergency, ice pack s over eyes for about 20 minutes, concealer first then cover with a light film of foundation of a lighter shade than the one used on the rest of your face.

I know it's probably ot a recommended course of action, but if it's an emergency, you could always put pile cream on the night before, they're gone by the morning,,, the circles that is, not the piles!

Use a concealer that is one shade lighter than your foundations. Apply it lightly ONLY to where it is dark. If you use it all over the area under your eyes, it won't do anything. Also, make sure the concealer is more yellow toned than pink.

Apparently, for some strange reason, placing slices of cucumber or even a used tea bags on your eyes (make sure the tea bags are cold first lol) are quite good ways of sorting out that problem.

Ok, this is gonna sound weird...but it works. Take the skin off a potato. Then put the skin in the fridge for a while, then put the cold potato skin on your eyes (like you would with a cucumber)
