Looks as if you have an unhealthy view of your body. I remember what it was like in high school. You see all these short girls, with really high metabolisms, wearing all these skimpy clothes. They get the guys, they're the pretty ones, but trust me, if you're 5'7" and you weigh 137, then you're at your ideal weight. You probably look better than half those skinny rail girls, and it's just because you're in high school subjected to it everyday. But please believe me, 137 is perfect weight for a 5'7" woman. Don't do a thing, and drop this negative energy about your body. It can only lead to negative things.

Ok...first of all, you are NOT fat! Your height and weight are absolutely normal. Now, if you are worried about your stomach you could just target that zone. You mention you are a runner, so you should be getting plenty of cardio, but if you add a little weight training or something of that nature you could add tone. I would serioulsy worry less about the actual "number" of your weight as I would your overall fitness. You could still weigh 137 pounds but find that you are more pleased with your appearance simply by being more toned. I think Pilates is great because it will work the "core" muscle groups that sound like they are your issue. When you engage your stomach muscles (and I mean ALL of your stomach muscles!) with Pilates, you will see results. The mix of cardio (running) and Pilates will most likely give you excellent results! Also, steer clear of eating after 7 pm. Eat six small "meals" a day that are well rounded. Don't deprive yourself of foods or you'll be more likely to do just what you've been doing....giving up...and OVERindulge. Rather, watch your portions. If you drink soda....quit. I stopped drinking soda a month ago and have lost 5 pounds! But again, with you, I think it's less about the weight and more about the tone of your body. So, alternate your cardio, Pilates (or Yoga if you prefer), and some weight training and you'll love the new you! It shouldn't take long for you since you are already are at an ideal weight!

Keep busy so you won't have time to eat all that junk food at night. You don't sound very fat! Muscle ways a lot more than fat-- so you probably just have a lot of muscle. I wouldn't try to lose any weight! Just try not to crack at the end of the day!!

the weight your body thinks you should be to be Safe. It's all up to you mentally and emotionally.Think small and eat small.
Think big and you see, you must eat to keep up the image.
Diets don't work. You must have a life long eating healthy
foods to undo the cycle.Good luck.I bet I am lots bigger than you.Eat raw veggies for snacks.Drink 64oz. water daily.Exercise,Go for walks.

Be sure to get some kind of exercise every day -- even if it is just a walk for 20 minutes or so.

AND take a breath and realize that you are wonderful and valuable and worthy of love just like you are.

Cheers,
Parthian.
