Somtimes I feal like what I do have that is confortable shouldnt be worn out of the house. I dont want to spend to much on clothes that wont fit long, and Im not ready for maternity clothes yet. What is the best thing to do buy clothes that wont fit in a few weeks or buy clothes way to big?

I'm a tiny person and was very hesitant to buy maternity clothes as well. I actually had to give in during my 6th month though, and I got them all on sale at motherhood.com. Anyways, what I've found is that while I was in that in-between phase, I simply bought cheap pants with elastic waistbands (about $15 each). They were black and dressy enough for work. Since they had no buttons or zippers and were stretchy, I can wear them all the time, no matter how big or small I get. I also used the hair elastic trick with my jeans (and I still do at 29 weeks!) where I loop a covered hair elastic through the holes of my jeans and then secure it around the button. Leaving the jeans unbuttoned and unzipped is soOo nice. Of course, make sure you have shirts that are long enough to cover this creative device. If your shirts aren't that long (some of mine weren't), I bought these cheap, tunic style tube tops for about $5 and wore them underneath my shirts, creating a cool layering effect. The material is stretchy so I can wear them after I give birth as well. Basically, before I started going for maternity clothes, I only spent about $40 on the pants and the tube tops. I'm not picky with my clothes and as long as they look nice and are comfortable, I'm happy.

I had this problem with my waist area. I just would take a ponytail holder and loop it around the button and thought the buttonhole then tie it into a knot. Wear a blouse out, or a jacket that buttons and no one will never know the difference! If you have some friends that are a size or two bigger than you ask to borrow a few items. I know that I didn't want to buy the in between clothes either, but you may want to pick up a few pieces, for when you have the baby but don't want to wear maternity clothes. You will more than likely not bounce right back into your 4's after the baby is here, but don't stress that either. It takes 9 months to make a baby and you are gaining weight that whole time, so give yourself at least that long to loose it. That is unless you are a celebrity and have the nanny with the baby and you stay with your personal trainer 24/7! Yeah Right!

I have been in the same predicament as you, and I just went ahead and started wearing maternity clothes. You will need them anyways. My stomach hurt when I wore my regular pants-your stomach is so tender when you are pregnant. I also wore low rise jeans a lot. Most prego shirts have ties so you can tie them tight so they aren't so big and you can adjust throughout your pregnancy. Also most prego pants have adjusters on them too. I know its an uncomfortable stage but you will find ways to work around it. Congrats!

Just buy a bigger normal clothes size. Thats what i did. I was never really big enough for maternity clothes untill i was around 7 months anyways.

I bought a lot of shirts that are tight in the chest and flow underneath the chest. They are not maternity shirts but serve the purpose greatly... and I can still wear them after I give birth.

You could always get some of those extenders for your pants. It's a little peice that loops on to the button and has a button on it for the button hole, they are adjustable so you can add anywhere from 1 to 6 inches onto your waistband using it. They are easy and cheap to use. You should be able to find them at any walgreens or wall-mart.

Just wear your old clothes for now until you get bigger and just keep your big shirts and buy some stretch pants that are comfortable to you.

Buy clothes that makes you feel comfortable and if it doesn't fit you later, save it for when after you have the baby.
