Don't hesitate to use it, use Restorer on your existing heating system and when it is flushed and clean, put in Protector. It will greatly improve the performance of your heating system, as long as the instructions for use are followed correctly.
I have been using Fernox (and similar products) for years and I have NEVER seen it 'eat' through radiators or joints.

Excelent and essential stuff.
A friend put in his own CH system 20 years ago, but never bothered about the Fernox. 3 of his 9 radiators have sprung leaks (eaten through) in the last year!

Central heating systems develop rust and sludge over time that results in cold spots on the radiator's and premature pump failure.
If you use Furnox it will prevent the formation of rust and acts as a lubricant for the pump.

I have had fernox in my system for 10 years or so and if i have to drain a rad its as clean as when i put it in, what i drain out i put back into the expansion tank in the loft so not to dilute it , but you need to put it in when the system is first installed . hope this helps

Plastification ? never heard that one, Fernox is a de-oxygenating agent, therefore scavengis oxygen in your system and reduces corrosion, definately recommended

This stuff is ok but the problem with that sort of stuff is on an old system, it rots or eats away at the seals and joints, especially old boilers where the water jacket leaks.
