I'd say the best one you could buy is Nod32, but AVG 7.5 Free is pretty impressive and plenty good enough for most people.

I have to disagree with these other people who talk about Norton (and we all know that when I say "I have to disagree", that is really a euphemism for "they are wrong") being the best. Norton has always sucked big time in my estimation and I would never trust them again. Their software is very memory intensive as well.

I have had trouble with: Norton, PC Tools, AVG, Windows virus protection thing (cannot recall the name) supposed to be 90 trial but the immediately took $54.00 from my bank account and then it did not work; so they had to refund it to me.

Norton 360 is the best ........... In general Norton has the best anti virus programs and Norton 360 is the latest production of this company.
Norton 360 doesn't only have anti virus, it also has anti spy-ware, firewall and many more useful tools .

readers now thinking about norton as its the most famous antivirus , but unfortunately that many hackers know this too and many of them could get around norton ok "kaspersky" is my own choice , i use it science 2001 and its do a great jop so lets remove our old one and download and install kaspersky antivirus and remove the question of "what is the best antivirus" from our brain

trust me here norton internet security it comes with anti virus firewall anti spyware and anti phising its the ulimate protection the free ones dont work so dont trust free ones for ur home computer

in my opinion, avg antivirus.

had norton, and still got a virus.

avg picked up the virus immediately.
