I've feel like I've tried everything, except using a pin to separate the eyelashes (I have to doubts that I'd poke my eye). Any good suggestions?

I have the perfect solution.
When you find that it is drying out, fill a jug with boiling water and put the mascara in for about 1 minute. It works!
good luck =]

When you take out the mascara wand from the bottle, wipe off all the excess mascara on a paper towel so that there will be no extra clumps. Start from the base of your eyelashes and work your way to the ends. If you do it properly, it can also substitute as an eyeliner.

Oh NO!

Please don't use a pin so close to your eyes!! eek!

There are a couple things you can try: Number one, before you apply your mascara, wipe the excess off your brush. Contrary to what you might think, you don't need a lot of mascara on the wand to apply a fantastic coat to your lashes, and wiping will remove most of the excess glops you see on the brush that will ultimately end up on your lashes. (Personally, I wipe MOST of the mascara off the wand before I apply).

When you apply, start all the way at the base of your lashes and wiggle the brush back and forth to separate your lashes before pulling the brush all the way through. Apply two thin coats to your lashes, and comb your lashes before the mascara dries.

Lastly, how old is your mascara? Most research recommends you replace every three months due to the potential for bacteria build up. If your mascara is older than that, or just looks gloppy when you pull the wand out, it's time to replace it.

Hope that helps!

If your mascara is old, get a new one. If it is still fairly new, when you pull out the wand, take a piece of tissue and wipe the wand with it (the bottom part). This takes off the excess mascara and it'll stop the clumping. Another word of advice, don't pump the applicator the bottle. Doing so pushes air in and drys out the mascara and can cause clumping.

Good luck with un-clumping!

it works really good to put a glob of petroleum jelly or vasalene on a tissue and coat ur mascara wand in it, then wipe it off in one swipe with another tissue, it will clean your wand. Then when u pull the wand out, twist it it will coat the wand evenly with mascara preventing it from clumping. If your really desperate try Covergirl LashExact. It's a really good brand that minimizes clumps.

You can buy a little make up comb which is actually for combing through your lashes after putting mascara on them. Gets rid of all the clumps :)

when i put on my mascara( which i use a lot of) i usually got clumps, so i asked my friend who always has really nice eyelashes how she does it and she said to get a simple eyelash brush or mascara brush and comb the clumps out ...i followed her instructions and it really works, if that doesnt work for you, who cares almost everyone gets clumps and just try to pull it out as best you can with your fingernails.?

try it!:)

Try getting a lash comb and combing your lashes before and after applications. Otherwise, maybe try wiping some of the mascara off the wand before you apply it.
