Nope, I feel better when I DO drink alcohol. Alcohol detox is one of the most dangerous. You should really read up a lot on this, maybe even get professional help detoxing.

nicely i have been abstaining for over 5 years, and yeah, i think a hell of a lot more beneficial useful! i'm no longer truly particular what you recommend by ability of detox. you say you've a pair drinks per week? nicely in case you quit, you at the prompt are not likely to 'detox' in any respect. Detox is frequently a time period used for human beings that've evolved a tissue dependence for a substance, meaning they are going to journey a actual withdrawal on cessation of use. if you're having withdrawal indicators of any form, you should work out a doctor earlier quiting. yet to respond to some thing else of your question, alcohol detox oftentimes takes from 3-5 days, relying on how lengthy and how a lot you've been eating. And its a depressing 3-5 days, yet its worth it. you receives your existence back.

I stopped drinking in September - it was the best decision I ever made for myself I think. I just decided one day that I was sick of feeling crappy, getting drunk and doing stupid ****. I never said I would never drink again, I just decided that that day, I wasn't going to for a little while. Now, 6 months later, I don't know if I'll ever even really want to drink again. At first I used not drinking as an excuse to give myself a break and 'hit the reset button' . I stayed home a lot, enjoyed cooking for myself, watching my favorite shows, movies, cleaning up my house and relaxing. then in a few weeks I started getting more excited to go out and have fun and see people again. It certainly takes getting used to to be out and not drink, but I've come to see something I never even thought about ever back when drinking was a part of my social structure. Drinking is not really an activity - it is something that we do to change our perspective on what we are doing. It makes boring people seem more 'fun', dumb people seem 'smarter', and scared people fell 'brave'. But none of those people are actually any of those things. Which is why the smart, fun and adventurous things and people we come across while drunk never seem so great the next day. It gets depressing. Now when I'm out, if there's no one there who is actually as cool as I am, I am happy to go home and get some sleep. And if there is, I'm aware enough to recognize it.
Be good to yourself.

I never drank so much that it was ever a problem to just stop.
I do start to feel a little clearer after 2 or 3 days of no ETOH.
Stopped for a whole year like 5 years ago.
Stopped for like 6 months 2 years ago.
I think I prefer drinking to be honest about it.

I think sometimes it's good to abstain for the discipline of it if its been getting out of hand.

it will only take a few days to get it out of your system, but if you are a alcoholic the cravings will always be there,
as for liver damage, the liver will heal itself if minimal damage was done
