To give you the best answerer to this question there are some things we would have to know:
1. Were are you going?
2. What color hair do you have?
3. What color eyes do you have?
4. What is the climate?
The best choice for you will be something that brings out your features, like your eyes. Obviously a suggestion for someone going to a party would be vastly different for someone going to a semi-formal dinner party.
A good rule of thumb is a collar shirt, with a solid shirt under, paired with jeans and a nice pair of shoes, it can be casual or dressed up. were a belt, black, and not a braided belt, i don't know why men still wear those! Bellow are links or examples:

It depends on where you live, what the weather is like. I'd say a nice button up from Hollister (It's the least expensive of the three) and a funny graphic tee underneath (style says the button up and graphic tee need not match) Hermosa jeans from Hollister also, non-destroyed. Then a nice pair of brown shoes, or flip flops matching the graphic tee. Get a backwards cap and call it good. This is gonna cost some cash though. Probably around $130
