how can you not like superman returns and the departed!!!!!
anyway personal favorites of mine are Lucky Number sleven, V for Vendetta, Italian Job, the Illusinast, the Prestiege, Minority report... and so on.
you are honestly the first person i have ever met that did not like the departed. it was amazing

Watch Running With Scissors.
I really liked Little Miss Sunshine and The Departed. Running with Scissors is a strange movie but worth watching. What kind of movies do you like??

My heart is breaking. Really- you didn't like Little Miss Sunshine? Even the end dance seen? I had tears running down my face I was laughing so hard.
Although, I would love to help, I too have been in a bit of a movie rut. I watched Hollywoodland last night and was extremely disappointed. I am also a huge fan of Edward Norton and recently watched 25th hour and thought it was awful.
I watched Memento for the first time last weekend and thought it was worth watching. It is very weird so be prepared for a different movie, but you should check it out.

I'm very pessimistic about new movies.I always rent classics like Harold & Maude,Annie Hall,the Monty Python movies, Dazed & Confused,The Big Lebowsky,Clerks,Chasing Amy,etc.

try some less-mainstream/unconventional movies. all of these are very good new movies...

Little Miss Sunshine was bad.
but it sounds like you really have bad taste if you didn't like Stranger than Fiction or The Departed
maybe you should just watch the Lifetime movie channel...those might be more your caliber.

i recently saw Marie Antoinette. it was a pretty good movie. i also just watched The Crow. It's kind of an older movie. It's from the early 90's but if you like action movies that's a good one.
