The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. Mix a pinch of nutmeg powder with a table spoon of gooseberry juice, and take it thrice a day. Sip little by little ginger juice mixed with honey before you get out of bed. Morning sickness can actually last through your entire pregnancy. I was one who was still throwing up at 6 months until I had enough of throwing up 9 times a day and asked the Dr for something to make it stop. Last resort they will put you on steroids which they did for me and it helped. But morning sickness can last a pretty long time.

You're looking at a month or two. My morning sickness stopped when I was 3 months pregnant...after about, say six weeks of it.

Try Sea Bands--they're wrist bands that are supposed to push on a pressure point in your wrist to control nausea. I've found that sucking on lemons and lemonade helps.

If you have to throw up, do so...I did only a few times, and immediately afterward I felt like having a cold salad, so I did so and felt better.

I am in my 12th week and still have sickness all day. Try to keep something in your stomach at all times. Your dr can also prescribe medicine to help with the sickness. Make sure you stay hydrated. I have felt horrible also and nothing has really worked....just remember its all worth it in the long run. It usually starts tampering off after the first tri! Congrats-ps I have had sickness since I was 5 weeks prego

Wow the memories. I had morning sickness with my oldest. I was told after 3 months it should go away, then after 6 months it should go away then before you knew it I had delivered. So I went thru the same thing you are going thru. Sucked. With my youngest I was sick all day everyday for 40 weeks. Until he was born. So I wasnt so lucky. I hope it ends for you. Good luck

My wife had morning sickness up until almost halfway through her first pregnancy, with a girl. She's be vomiting most mornings.

With our second child, a daughter, she was getting dry heaves for a while but it didn't last for more than about a month.

Depends on many different people. I only have morning sickness after I missed my period and then it went away. But some people aren't that lucky.
