because there are people out there with problems and they need help so you answer their needs. and when you get picked as best answer, you feel good inside or like you said you get a boost. thats why.

oh Im a bit sarcastic and a bit funny and if I can be helpful thats a joy and i like the best answers too and I am a nice person but I dont want the people in the real world to know that so I show my nice kind sweet personality online.

All three! It depends on the question. If they obviously haven't gone to school, I give them a hard time. But I like the ego boost and helping.

I try to be helpfull also. .. . Some things I know alot about others I know nothing about. Being chosen for best answer is nice, but isnt necessary for me, every answer is important, if there werent others how could you pick the best? and sometime i think people pick best answers because the person agrees with them or just tells them what they want to hear, but hey they can do whatever they want. . . .

O f course i'm trying to be helpful with young or depressed
i always check before answering,the aim is not to be
"best answer"though i confess i'm happy to get it.
well,i like to communicate with people around the world
and curious enough i don't like to chat.

For me, is all about helping out with whatever knowledge I happen to posses. what do I get in exchange? When ive had serious questions I get really good practical answers.
