Games You Played Outdoors As A Kid?

Question

Okay, I'm old, so the games I played years ago as a kid are probably not what they play today. I don't think kids even play outside these days!

But....... when you were a kid, what games did you like to play?

Jarts

We played lawn darts (which is outlawed now, but violent video games featuring war and crime and sexuality and horror are fine for kids apparently)

We also played:
horse shoes
badminton
red rover ("Red rover! Red rover! We call Raven over!")
Red LIght, Green Light
Red ball (Also called Redass)
hide n seel
tag (zombie tag rocked!)
soft ball
dodge the ball
war (you know with the flags and teams and stuff)
and, of course, we would re-enact Star Wars a lot

for little kids, red rover is really fun! and you don't even need any equipment. just lots of space if you have a lot of kids. for the older kids, how about flag football? you can get flags at walmart and it's a lot safer than the real thing. and i think 8-9 yr. old girls like jumprope games, while the boys probably like chasing around or tag. good luck!

-games in the pool
e.g. Marco Polo, Toothpaste, Fear Factor Style, Try This!
-climb trees
-run around


Uhh not really games, i just make stuff up with my friends

I played hide and go seek, tag, manhunt (kind of like hide and go seek), skipping :), hopskotch and go to the park and see who could swing the highest (my fav lol), mail man mail man and those other hand clapping game things.

Tetherball,jacks,chinese jumprope,trampoline,hide and seek,made mud pies,and waited around for the ice cream truck so I could get a bomb pop!
