i have fought in iraq and afghanistan. i did my time, i got hurt, and i got nothing. so im bitter, but dont tell me i didnt fight for your right to call me an idiot. almost lost my right hand. for you, the people that think the military needs to fight and fight......lets see YOU minus a hand

hopefully you realize why you are able to ask this questions and rethink calling our leaders nuts I would like to see you do a better job if we had lost any major or world war you would be living a different life wake up !!!!!!!! It is not perfect or pretty but if you like where you are today thank someone who fought to give you the freedom to be ignorant I did not call you an idiot and I spent my time as a 6154 in the USMC and I stand up for my country and our commander in chief when attacked even if it's verbal I do support your right to free speech just think before you speek

Yes, I think our leaders are nuts.
But if the goal, as stated, is to remain in the Middle East until there is no more sectarian violence, or until there are no other fanatics in the region that might attack us, that will take decades.
Personally, I think its time we start setting some actual, measurable obtainable goals -- as opposed to declaring war on a philosophical concept that is as old as civilization.

I dont remember anyone here in the US or in the west saying that...
I do remember people in the mideast doing the following ... HEY LETS BLOW UP a FEW BUILDINGS BAHAHAHA!!!...
then catching 100 americans in the 70';s and keeping them fro 444 days..
killing westerns on vaction in the mid-east and in africa. south america
blowing up embassy in africa in the 90s
blowing up a Marine base in the 80's and 90's
blowing up the USS cole in the 90s
trying to blow up the world trade towers in the 90 and doing it in 01
blowing people up for no reason other than they let women talk or have jobs or vote.. or pray to someone other than what they think is god...
nope.. i dont remember the west doing anything other than sending money food clothes and medices to those punks....
what TV station or news room did you see that at?

Last time I looked I saw only adults volunteering for Military service. I didn't see any mommies or daddy's leading them in by the hand and giving them to the recruiters.
