i have fair colored skin and brown hair and hazel eyes.... what eyeshadow colors would look good on me??

You can use quite a variety. Yes you can use browns, but don't hold yourself back because there are many other colors you should at least attempt. You will be surprised in the different looks you can come up with.
I suggest as far as eyeshadows go:
Highlighters: Shimmery Whites, Shimmery Pinks, Sandy Whites, or creamy white/ off white colors.
Crease: Try all shades (medium, light, dark) of brown, Bronze, Golds, Violet.
Lid: You could try another highlighter or any warm shade.

Eyeliner: Bronze, Sable (Dark brown), Violet, Plum, and Charcoal.

Go for a black eyeliner, on both top and bottom. Then Black Mascara, and Then go for a Pink base, form eyelid to brow bone. Then layer some purples on the lid, maybe a little brown/tan too. Blend Well. Greens wont intensify as much as the others will. Everyone has this problem, trial and error, hun, that's just about it, what your preferences are.

Brown mascara, brown or black eye liner, and green, light pink, or light brown eyeshadow. Also try a light pink lip gloss. Eye liner really draws attention to your eyes, but don't go overboard with it.

Definitely browns. Be experimental and try out different tones of browns. It is just makeup and can always be removed so try out different ideas.
