If the relationship is absolutely stable and there is immense trust and lots of discussion about boundaries and participation, there is nothing wrong with safe, consensual sex with other people in the right environment. I mean a party or pre-arranged meet scenario, or a club, dedicated to the lifestyle. There is a very clear divide bewteen sex and making love, the latter is reserved completely and exclusively between the couple, sex is the hedonistic activity they both enjoy outside of making love. The rules of engagement, for want of a better word, must be decided bewteen the couple beforehand, whether they will soft swing or full swing, better to begin with the former, where there is no penetratative sex except for the couple themselves, it is highly erotic to be having sex with another couple in the room doing the same, feasting with the eyes......the rules and etiquette of swinging must be looked into and agreed, no means no in all circumstances...
When jealousy creeps in rather than titillation, then its not adviseable to consider swinging, it all depends on the individuals and how they deal with their own emotions within the relationship

READ THIS AND PAY ATTENTION
I have been married for the last 28 years and have witnessed 3 couples with whom I have been friends try swinging. All of the marriages are now over. There will always be a trust issue later on if you do what you are thinking. One or the other WILL lose trust with the mate after doing something like this. The ones that say it is ok have probably never done it or still not married, either way, it's a trap. If you value your relationship don't do it. Love and trust are what keeps us together all these years and if you lose one, you will have lost the other. Trust me on this.

I do agree with Swinging if both parties are on the same page and stay within the boundaries that they set forth.
To those idiots that always say that swinging is cheating you are wrong. It is not cheating. You are opening your mouthes to something you know nothing about. Sorry, it just gets under my skin when I hear swinging is cheating when it is in fact a consenting couple and everything is out in the open.

Yes, I do. My husband and I have done it for a few years now and enjoy it very much. The horror stories you hear are either 100% fiction or happened for very good reasons...none of which had anything to do with sex and everything to do with dishonesty, insecurity, poor communication, lack of respect, and selfishness. None of these things has any place in the lifestyle.
My husband and I love one another very much and we do agree that swinging is an ethical, moral, practical and enriching addition to our marriage. Sounds like I'm off my meds, but I assure you I'm quite sane.

Well if it's the kind of swinging I think your talking about, normally you don't get much choice. It's called gravity. You get pushed, swing up, then back down again!

If you want to swing get an old tire, a rope and a tall tree. If you're talking about having group sex with strangers, you're going to wreck your marriage.

Seems to me that if a person is into swinging or swapping partners, they shouldn't be married, let alone in a commited relationship. Just because you have your partners permission, doesn't mean it isn't adultery.
