No we haven't.

Currently there is a theory being divised by scientists in order to succed in Hypertravel. This theory currently is trying to increse the current amount of dimensions to 8D which include electromagnetism. If this succeeds soon we will be able to travel distances that have been unimaginable in times so short compared to now.

And thats just one way using magnetic possibilities and we have not even come close to exhausting the research!

Of course not.
There's still lots of cutting edge result on superconductivity (supercooling objects and they display effects such as having zero resistance), trying to get the effects at higher and higher temperatures.

I don't know what the hell that Oz guy is on about. Seems like he's just misquoting over hyped science fiction stories.
Maybe he's taking about using magnetic fields to accelerate spacecraft, but that's still in paper phase. Not all that 8D nonsense.
