Ok if in fact they searched you for no reason. (You didn't shout death to the infidels, do a shrill death rally war cry, you didn't pull out a gun, weren't carrying any illegal substances and you weren't acting suspicious (What is suspicious anyway?).) They did search you illegally according to the constitution.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety.
- Benjamin Franklin, Historical Review of Pennsylvania (1759)

You do not have to allow search or seizure of property. If it's a subway thing you can just choose not to ride the subway. I agree with you and it sickens me. American citizens are being persecuted in an effort to not target people by their ethnicity. Pretty stupid all in all. Chances are 1 in a million that a white guy or girl is a Middle Eastern terrorist but hey, lets harass 60% white cause that's demographics. Canadian boarder is actually more secure than Mexican boarder; go figure. The Canadians come here and spend money, the Mexicans commit crimes and send whatever they do make bake to Mexico. It's a crazy world. Remember to vote for Ron Paul in 08; he makes a lot of sense.

Yes is the answer. My G Daughter was sitting in the parking lot of Wendys and she was talking to some friends, a cop came by and said they all looked suspicious, so he got his dog out and searched her car. Found nothing and we are filing unlawful search, but I am sure we will lose. When I called the Police Station to complain, I was told he was only doing his job, when I asked, since when is his job to harass patrons at at drive thru rest, he got pissed and said sue us. So thats what I am doing. My lawyer, who is a good friend, says it was unlawful since the officer already has said he did not see any drug activity but wanted to test his new drug sniffing dog. He said he was using my G Daughter as a test dummy. I know him and I would go whip his a** if I thought I could get by with it.

my guess is that, they just want everyone to be safe. you should have asked them why they wanted to search you in the 1st place. im not positive on this but, i think they have to ask you to let them see your bag 1st and if u agree they will go through it, if u disagree then they cannot and most likely they will waste your time by asking u to wait on the curb while they get a searching permit. i know its a fact on trunk of cars but not so sure on bags it should go the same way. btw im from cali and im guess the law should be the same

They're just trying to keep everyone safe. Quit making a big deal out of this. I would rather have people searching bags rather than my arms and legs being blown off.

In the US they can not just stop you, but they can check your bags if you wish to use certain forms and methods of transportation, airplanes, trains and subways.
And please look at your state law makers, not Bush, why does everyone blame Bush for things he is not doing

Yes, it is allowed under US laws.
As numerous people keep telling you when you ask this same question every day (complete with the same typos).
