Question

I work 7 nights straight then have 4 days off when i see my g/f, i missed so much by night 2 so i thought i would do something sweet and cute.

I put my hand in the works photocopier and made a copy, i wrote a little msg onit saying..

Here is my hand for you to hold
Especially when you get scared and cold

She recieved it today just sent me a txt saying dont do that again cuz it scared her that someone had cut my arm off or something!!!

Bearing in mind i had told her i sent her a present, it was my HANDwritting on the envolope and it was in a works envolope with the logo in the corner!

She said she didnt look at the front and just opened it???
Doesnt everyone look at the front first??

I feel really hurt and upset now and dont know what to do, am i overeacting?

It is a pretty cute idea. However, If someone cut off your hand they would have probably added some kind of randsom fee. Anyway, you seem like a sweet guy but maybe the girl your with isn't as appreciative of romantic gestures like that. I would either tone it down a little or find out more about her about the things she finds romantic. Her definition of Romance might be different than yours.

I think it was a cute and sweet thing to do. I think your girlfriend OVERREACTED about it though. It sounds like she has been watching too many scary movies. I always look at the front of mail that comes to me.

Good luck to you. I hope your pain goes away soon. Just tell her how her reaction made you feel. Honesty is the best policy for any relationship.

it's sweet, but to be honest, i don't do romance, so my bf doesn't do things like that. have u two spoke about whether she likes gestures like that? i think she was being selfish by not accepting the gesture for what it was, but i also think it was her way of saying she didnt like it and for that she is ungrateful, if my bf did that, i would at least try to be pleased and then when the moments right i would ask him nicely not to do it again, maybe ask her why she reacted that way

and if i got a letter from my bf I don't think I'd read the front either you wanna go straight for whats inside cuz your excited to see what they sent you.
relax it's fine nothings wwrong, you both just took it the wrong way.

CUT OF UR HAND AND SENT IT TO HER? is she on crack? im sorry but shes a little rediculouse to think that was what it was. that was a totally adorable thing you did and she went and thought the wrost of it..... you did not over react but i do see why u are hurt. i guess just put it behind you but tell her that you dont understand why of all things she thought of it that way?? makes no sence.

I think that you should talk to your gf about your feelings. I thought that it was a swet thing, but people are different. Her reaction was a little over the top, but it shows that she cares about you.

that was really sweet of you. i think you are overreacting however. she was just being careless about opening mail. if she gets a lot of mail that's normal. i wouldnt be offended.
