well first my little sister plugged in her ipod shuffle into my hp, she unplugged it, plugged it in the back, then the power button started flashin, we took the plug off,then we noticed that the monitor light turned from green to orange/yellow color, so we turned the monitor off and then it went from green to orange/yellow....

Hi. First answers sound good. Double check the cables, make sure sleep mode is off, reboot and watch the screen for a normal boot sequence. If none, try booting into safe mode (press F8 repeatedly during boot) then do a system restore to your last known good point.

it sounds like a signal cord problem... check all connections and the unplug all components for a few moments (if it is a laptop then also remove the battery) after about 15 min plug everything in and then it should be better

Make sure the VGA, or monitor cable, is plugged in all the way. Remember, you have to screw it in with your hand. Make sure it's plugged in from your monitor to your computer.

make sure all the cables from the computer to the monitor are plugged in correctly.

next try the computer with another monitor to see if it's the computer and try the monitor with another computer to see if it's the monitor

check the cable that runs from the monitor to the back of the PC. its probably disconnected or partially disconnected.

a lot of time a orange light indicates sleeping mode.
