a video card and video drivers are also installed on computers. However, they may be lower-end models that may not handle graphic-heavy applications like games.
If you didn't have a video card, I don't think you would be looking at anything on your monitor right now.
And no, they are not that hard to install. If you buy a newer one to replace the one you have, they come with step by step directions. =]

A video card is what lets you see images on your screen. They are always pre installed on a pc unless you are building your own, in which case you would install it yourself. Video cards are not hard to install. Most (if not all) are what we call "plug and play" which basically means you put in the card, turn on the pc, and viola! The only other thing you would need to install a video card is a setup disk and/or updated drivers.

A video card is an addon card that plugs into your mainboard inside the computer that handles all graphical instructions.
Video cards are designed to handle graphical information so that your processor does not have to.
All computers come with some kind of video GPU. Most premade computers like from dell or gateway will either come with a video card or integrated video. Integrated video is just the GPU (graphics processing unit) built into the mainboard.
You can buy a video card from any computer hardware store. The power of these video cards range from entry level to GPU monters!
the price also usually varies anywhere from $45-$700 retail.

All computers have video cards. They are very easy to install. Turn off your computer. Open the computer case, take out the old one and put in the new one.
Turn on your computer and it should recognize the new hardware or it will ask you to insert the installation disk that comes with the card. That's it.

They are easy to install, but you need to be comfortable with opening up the case of your computer. 99% of computers come with a video card which would normally show up as a blue trapezoid plug on the back of your computer.

All computers need a video card....some are installed in one of the PC's slots and others are simply video chips mounted on a PC's motherboard (onboard video). They are simple to install, however you must find out what type of card your motherboard has slots for. (AGP, PCI, or PCI-E) If you have "onboard graphics" and not a card, it will have to be disabled in your BIOS before you put in your new card.
