Hi bit of a minefield here but I can tell you what not to buy. Don't buy packard bell or advent, they same. You could get a decent pc built up for that. I have a small computer shop near me who would build you one with better spec than that for £329 plus monitor.

We have 2 acer laptops in our household and looking at getting a third one for my daughter. They are a good machine and both of our machines have a good spec. Don't know what their pc's are like though. I would certainly think about buying an hp.

One of the best online websites I know is ebuyer. They will deliver next day if you order before 3pm. It works as well.

Happy Shopping

Visit http://www.meshcomputers.com/ and
http://www1.euro.dell.com/content/products/category.aspx/desktops?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&s=dhs to configure systems there. You don’t have to buy one but it gives you an idea of costs and to focus into what you really want. 1 GB RAM would be minimum with Windows Vista to use its fancy facilities.
