this morning i was running late & wasnt paying attention & i fell down the stairs & imediatly the pain was horible, so bad that i was shaking.But after a few minutes it didnt hurt anymore. I got the kids to scholl on time (barely) A couple of hours later it started hurting a little & now has gotten to the point that i cant walk & it hurts very bad nomatter what. it hurts on the arch & now pretty much everywhere. I have no insurance so i dont want to go to E.R. unless there is really something wrong..if it is just a sprain i can treat at home.

help...

you should go as soon as possible to ER, even if you don't have insurance, a early diagnositic and treatment can be much less painful and cheaper than a latter one, you may get now just a cast instead a future surgery or long term pain.

Can be a hairline fracture, which will heal on it's own. Can't be broken, or you would not have walked on it at all. Or, could be as easy as you bruising the bones and that again will take a few weeks to heal. Just attempt to stay off it as much as possible, keep it raised, and with a compress and take lots of advil. It will get better in time.

You can tell by sight and touch if there's a break put your legs out straight lying down if your affected foot points outwards at a funny angle it could be broken, also when there's a break it's hot to touch

If it is a hairline fracture, only an x-ray can detect it.
