a lot of people have hpv and do not even know it. there are hundreds of strands of it. one strand being warts. if you get a wart on your hand, leg, etc, that is a strand of hpv. its nothing to do with being unlcean or dirty. there are just different strands and doctors dont even understand the whole thing either. its very complicated. and its not hard to catch. the easiest way to catch it is by sex with someone who has it. one may have the virus but never ever show any signs of it. so its very hard to detect, especially if there are no symptoms. but with a female, its easy to detect by your yearly pap smear test. it will show up in that.

You need to get a new Dr. They do test men for HPV, they just do not exhibit symptoms. Most women will not either, it is a very common virus to carry and most women will never know they have it. I am not a medical doctor and do not know how they establish how virus are created, but it is passed through bodily fluids that you catch through sexual intercourse....that's what makes it an std.

HPV is sexually transmitted. A study done in 1952 of 13,000 nuns found no cases of cervical cancer. These studies and other much more recent studies, all indicate that women are more at risk of developing cervical cancer once they have become sexually active. HPV can cause cervical cancer which is scary. There is no HPV test for men. HPV infections in men can go away on their own, thus it is up to women to be tested and they must be diligent with pap smears and consider getting the new Guardasil vaccine. My best friend has HPV and has her smears have come back cancer free for over 8 years at all her pap smears. Sadly, my grandmother's cervical cancer progressed to uterine cancer and she lost her uterus 40 years ago. Please take care of yourself, practice safe sex and see your gynecologist regularly!

The kind of HPV that causes genital warts is an STD.
I got my HPV from sex from an ex-boyfriend who showed no signs of having any kind of STD nor genital warts. So yes, most of the men who have it don't show any symptoms.
Nobody who has HPV just had it appear out of nowhere! Tell that to all of the women who have HPV and have wart outbreaks. Your doctor is lying to you. They do know.
Get yourself tested again by another doctor.
AUTUMN: Your bump is a cyst, not HPV. Genital warts from HPV look like flesh-colored cauliflower growths. You don't have HPV.

that's quite a threat one or the different of you gotten smaller the HPV virus till now you met one yet another. The HPV virus that reasons genital warts can lay dormant a protracted time. some outbreaks are rapid becoming, some sluggish. even whilst your ob/gyn is calling for them they are able to be so small as to be truthfully missed. choose for a pelvic examination extra frequently, say each and every 3 to 6 months to capture them. practice risk-free intercourse while you stumble on out precisely what it is. additionally, it fairly is an entire fantasy that STDs can purely be transmitted by way of sexual touch. There are documented situations of gonorrhea being handed on by employing public rest room seats. I gotten smaller the HPV virus from my first ob/gyn whilst i grow to be a teenager & a finished virgin. This grow to be interior the days till now it grow to be regulation that docs wash their palms till now & after examinations and to positioned on latex gloves for the time of examinations. stable luck!

I found a bump and I am not sexually active. I haven't seen my doctor yet to confirm it but it looks like it is genital HPV. There is also HPV on hands, arms and even throat although genital ones are said to be transmitted sexually.

I´m 100% sure that it´s an STD because everyone I know of who has it got it by having unprotected sex with their boyfriend. None of the boyfriends ever had any symptoms, or if they did they either didn´t realize it or lied about it.
