I'm an Aquarius, and I want to know if Aquarius is compatible for itself. There are 2 types of Aquarius- the 'unfriendly-seeming' but great friend kind, and the social, vibrant kind. Could the sign be compatible to itself?

If my unfriendly Aquarian husband had married an equally unfriendly Aquarian, instead of me, all would have been right with the world.

Aquarius and Aquarius

When two Aquarians come together, they contemplate the common good of humanity. This pair is focused on making friends, helping others, and calling for social change. They are active and outgoing and work best while in the heat of the moment. This couple gets along quite well, perhaps incurring the wistful sighs and slight jealousies of all their friends. Together, you enjoy following current events and acting on modern, progressive ideas.

Independent and cosmopolitan, all of their socializing could leave this couple slightly emotional detached. Their focus is primarily out of the home, and they work well together or separately as part of a larger whole: an organization, business or group. Sometimes, this couple has a great difficulty facing real feelings, either their own, their partners, or those of the people around them. They share an abstract idea of how people should behave, which is more often than not an impersonal outlook.

Aquarius is ruled by the Planets Saturn and Uranus. Uranus controls radical or novel ideas. Always reaching out with their prophetic visions, the Aquarian intellect can be so extreme and eccentric that Aquarius is known as the Einstein of the Zodiac. They share genius practices that are too far out for the rest of the world, and they are often misinterpreted as kooks. However, Saturn contains a great work ethic, tenacity and responsibility, and steers the Aquarian team to work hard for what they want. This influence makes this couple very productive and well-respected.

Aquarius is an Air Sign. Brainstorming and confronting issues with their superior intellectual abilities comes as second nature. The same intellectual drive that makes the Aquarian couple self-confident and self-assured is also the source of the emotional or physical detatchment the duo may feel. They are a great team and share wonderful conversation, but the intimacy of the relationship may take a lot of hard work and effort. Also, they can be cold toward people whom you find banal and mundane.

Aquarius is a Fixed Sign. Their Fixed natures can make this couple both highly productive and dreadfully stubborn. Ideas flow from the Aquarian creative mind and both partners share a respect for one another's contributions to a shared goal. However, sometimes their strong opinions clash and may lead to dispute. Both partners share a dislike and distaste for those that don't have a lust for progress.

The best aspect of the Aquarius-Aquarius relationship is that they bring new ideas and social institutions to the world. As visionaries and individuals, this duo takes a step for cultural reform and bright innovations. As long as both partners remember to add a bit of romance and spice, this relationship is a great asset to the community and to the individuals involved.

Aquarius + Aquarius

Air + Air = Wind

Aquarius is the sign seen as ruling the New Age. Anything modern, electrical or technological is associated with it. You pride yourself on the fact that you’re always in touch with whatever is modern. Two Aquarians coming together will redefine what ‘relationship’ means.
Aquarius plus Aquarius gives a double air element, which means a lot of turbulence–gale force winds! When you come together, you don’t create a revolutionary uprising in the usual sense. But you can be sure that your energies will produce something unique; when you walk into a room, people will feel that energy and sense your difference. You’ll set yourselves apart from your peer group.
You both crave excitement, change, the unusual, even the bizarre. In extreme cases your relationship will produce such wacky behaviour that others won't know quite what to make of you. But your behaviour is only for shock value. You’ll play this up, dramatising the relationship for the sake of making a huge impression on the world around you.
This may be fun, but you will need to settle down and sort out what motivates you as a couple.
Try not to let your relationship become too self-centred; after all, you do both have a compassionate side. You could find yourselves very busy sorting out the world and satisfying your own individual desires, so make sure you put enough time into fulfilling each other’s needs. This is essential if you want a permanent committed relationship.
Once you address this issue you can move forward as a couple. You will get lots of love and support from each other in your individual endeavours as well.
The bedroom is a great place for your exciting antics, unique ideas and emotional colours. This combination will offer you many exceptional experiences. Expect loads of fun and lots of way-beyond-the-ordinary activities.
If you’re looking for equilibrium and permanence, try to team up with Aquarians born between 21 January and 30 January. These are your best match: they are the strongest Aquarians.
Aquarians born between 31 January and 8 February should avoid getting together with each other. The co-rulership of Virgo will produce a flighty, unstable combination which could frazzle your nerves. It doesn't produce great long-term benefits for either of you.
Aquarians born between 9 February and 18 February have the touch of Venus at birth. Love is their second name, and they can bring you great happiness romantically. This combination will not only fulfil you; it will also give you the excitement you’re always looking for.

I think you'd be better off worrying more about the person than the astrological sign, but then again, I never saw much point in stereotypes.
