I know what your saying. I feel you on this one. Sometimes I'm in the mood to smile and sometimes I'm not. Happy, giddy people are just weird to me. I think its cause they act that way even when deep down they are stressed or sad. I think they seem weird to me cause it just comes across as being fake most of the time. I'm sorry but if my grandpa died or a 9-11 just happened I can't reasonably walk around like a skipping school girl. Weird.

I don't think there is anyone who doesn't want to be happy.

Are overtly happy people actually giving you a hard time for not being one of them?

I wish they would find me. I seem to have friends that want me to be miserable with them, and if I am happy, they are nowhere to be found.

I'm sorry, but I feel much worse about the people that want others to be miserable.

Have fun being somewhat happy. :I :I :I :I It's a nice medium.

When you're on "happy" medications, not only do you get happy and giddy, you forget everyone else is not on happy meds, too. I have someone at work who is hateful, except when she takes her "pills", and then she actually laughs so loud you can hear her all over the building. She is then relentlessly happy and can't imagine why you aren't too...once they wear off, she's back to her usual surly self.

Some people that happy have someone or something that is making them happy, and sometimes need someone to tell them that they're being way too happy, but you sometimes need to be happy. I understand what your going through. I sometimes can get annoyed with those really happy people.

I am by nature a very private and serious person.
Most of my extended family are not, and they see my way of being as something 'anomalous'. However. when one considers all the things in the world that need and require ones serious thought and consideration, only a true imbecile would have a smiley-faced demeanor as default.
Good luck.

Alot of people I think feel the same way you do but are to concerned about what other think--so they put on this constant smile that is at least 50% of the time....fake.. Hope I helped..bye

Its sad when we have come to a day and age when "happy" people are considered strange and abnormal.

whew! you don't need to smile if you don't feel like it. Next time someone tells you to smile, or tried to crack a joke, tell them to shove off. You don't have to take that! We need grumpy-bugs to balance this lop-sided world!

Seriously, dude (or dudette), lighten up. A smile is heart-healthy!
