Fast food was actually started around 1925 by the McDonald brothers in a small town in southern California, however it never would have revolutionized the way American's eat if it hadn't have been for Randy Kroc. Kroc bought out the McDonald brothers restaurant in the early 30's and completely redesigned everything. He took the expensive ceramic plates and glass cups and changed the dining utensils to paper cups and plates. With cheaper dining ware they could afford to lower prices. Pretty soon McDonald's became a common household name.
