Okay, I've been stuck for a while on Shadow of the Colossus and have decided that I'm going to remain stuck without help. I'm currently fighting Colossus # 8 that is near the dark area surrounded by geysers. I have done everything that I can think of to defeat it, I don't even know how to begin to destroy it. It's like a spider almost and i cant find anywhere to grab onto or to hurt it. How do you defeat this colossus? I think it has to do with the geysers, but when I try to bring him near that area, he just stays away or shoots me from far away.

Here's what you have to do...
Get on Agro, your horse, and ride into the geyser field, making sure to pass over at least two geysers in roughly the same direction.
You'll be too far away at this point for the colossus to shoot you, but be prepared to run away from his shots if you need to. Try to stay in roughly the same place. Now the colossi should only have to take a few steps before he's over a geyser. Run back towards him on Agro, dodging shots when needed.
Try to get under him, so he won't be tempted to shoot you. He will however, rise up on his hind legs and try to smash you - just time your jumps so that you're in the air before he hits the ground. Make sure to equip your bow! Eventually, the geyser will go off. At this point, the colossus will be knocked off balance, and two legs will flail wildly in the air. The other two legs have vulnerable spots on the bottoms of the feet. Run over to each one and shoot him in each foot.
After you get both of his feet, he will fall and roll over on his back. This is your chance to get on the colossus. Run around to his far side, dodging his tail and flailing legs. On the side of his belly (closest to the ground) is a place you can grab onto and climb. This gets you onto his belly fur. Keep climbing up his belly to his side that's farthest up in the air. HOLD ON.
The colossus will soon tilt back over on his legs and shake rather violently. Once that's through, pull yourself up onto his back platform and go to the end of his body (near his tail). Here there's a way to walk straight up the middle of his back towards his head. Take that path, making sure to hold R1 when he shakes. Once you get to his head, hold on and stab away!
The colossus is done for.

Hello. The way to defeat this boss is to, with great difficulty, lure him to one of the geysers. Then when it goes off it will knock him one his back. Then I think that you have to climb onto it and get near it's head. Then you will see some of its weak spots on it back or head.

There are a lot of online walkthroughs for games, including Shadow of Colossus. One website I like to use is www.gamefaqs.com. You can do a search on that site by name of your game and then read text walkthroughs, cheats and other secrets contributed by other gamers like yourself. Click on the link below. Sometimes the walkthroughs aren't very helpful, but there's the benefit of multiple contributers.

You got to attack him to get his attention and lure him over the geysers to stun him so you can get on him to attack his weak spot. It is not easy but patience and repeated attempts are the key.
