Wow...i just read the entire article. I think its wonderfully written. Very insightful. And its written in a way that shouldnt offend anyone. I agree with many of his topics. Unfortunately many will not be willing to accept the message behind this article, mainly due to ignorant stubborness. But i say to each his own. As long as they dont try to force their views on me, i wont force mine on them.
I have always believed that NO ONE should accept & swallow anything that is shoved down their throat...and this includes religion. My father is a pastor & both of my parents are very religious, therefore i was raised in a home where certain views were held, values were extremely strong & some things just werent condoned. I'm very well-versed scripturally and have been studying the bible since i could read. And I question EVERY SINGLE WORD. Yes i believe in God. Yes i believe in Jesus. Yes i have faith in him. But i also believe the bible is written by man and as we all know...man makes mistakes, man make "edits" & man lies. Flat out.
This web site defintiely backs this up for me. So i LOVE LOVE LOVE this article. Thanks for sharing it :-)

First i do no longer look after George Bush's regulations. I do inspite of the incontrovertible fact that oppose gay marriage using fact society has to set a time-honored of a few type. If my opinion differs from yours as an occasion whilst it comprises taxes or different ethical matters does that mean i'm required to constantly provide in on your opinion? You point out that the Bible does not point out gay marriage. It does say that gay acts are an abomination to God. might it no longer keep on with that if the acts are an abomination to God that sanctioning them via allowing gay marriage could be daft ? i might agree that possibly we spend too plenty time speaking approximately gay marriage to the exclusion of the two important matters. I agree that assisting the undesirable is amazingly important. The Bible is a e book of stability. it is so obtrusive to me that the function of intercourse is on the whole to for procreation and to particular love between a husband and spouse.gay "love" has a tendency to concentration completely on excitement and is for the main section unhygienic.in case you have been staring at gay love from an engineering viewpoint it could be obtrusive that the human anatomy became no longer designed for many gay acts. is this a justifiable pretext for bashing homosexuals and hateing them? No. Does this mean i'm required to help this existence-form with my taxes ? No. Are you and that i allowed to particular our opinion in a civilized, rational way? i'm hoping so. i'm no longer God. i will basically show my opinion approximately what i've got faith are His ideals. i'm basically expressing an opinion only as you're expressing an opinion. i realize it is tempting to brush aside different peoples's comments as nonsense yet all of us have loose will to have faith as we see extra healthy. interior the tip God will type all of it out. it is extra important to instruct love than it is to constantly be surprising.

It doesn't shut them up. Even the Bible doesn't shut them up.
Good Bible Quotes:
Romans 3:10 "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:"
John 8:7 "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone"
Luke 6:37 "Judge not, and ye shall not be judged"
Luke 6:42 "Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye"

It does not necessarily shut anyone up. It is simply a long piece explaining one point of view regarding how to interpret the given passages. Just because someone writes a piece like this this does not necessarily make the points valid. I have seen similar points made before and have seen rebuttals to most of them. So, no, it will not shut anyone up. People will believe what they want to believe and will find any justification they can to buttress their opinions and lifestyle (this does go both ways).

I can not care less for what Christians think. What ever their God think is totally irrelevant to me. I am good person and don't need a book written thousands of years ago to back me up.

But even if I wasin't christian...I still wouldin't accpet homosexuality, I also look at it from a scientific point of a view on why it's wrong.
