I don't know for sure 100% but I would only have to guess that yes, it is since you are not going to skimp corners or anything taking care of a pregnant woman. REgardless of where she is getting the medical treatment. Noone is going to not give 100% care just cause of status of where the woman gets her treatment

You may recieve less treatment at a health department than at a private women's clinic, just because the state tries to keep the cost down as much as possible.

Not here in Florida! It is definately not as god at our local health department. I feel it is very true that you will get treated with much more respect and caring if you have the best health insurance. Otherwise, we are left to question every move that our obstetrician makes. Good Luck.

Well, i hate to say it but having insurance and getting to see the doctor that you choose is always better. getting to pick your hospital and birth center is awesome. i want what is best for my baby. I remember what it was like to not have insurance its very hard to find good people, but sometimes they are just as caring as other doctors. i have had success with both.
