You can buy a device at walmart that will buff the surface of the disk. It's apparently supposed to make it better.

usually the playstation can read right pass the scratches if not go to a eb games or radio shack and get this stuff that takes scratches out i heard toothpaste works

You can't.
But what you CAN do is get a high-resolution CD-ROM reader that might be able to copy all the data onto a brand-new CD.
OR you can call up the company, tell them what's up, and sometimes they will send you a new one, especially if you're a registered owner. If not, they may ask that you send the old one in - make sure you get names and send a letter recounting your conversation.

A cd repair kit will sort that out or a bit of vaseline(never tried the vaseline though) use the cd repair kit you can get them in most shops

you can buy a small thing that buffs them out for you for about £10, or u can send them off to people who do it for you, i think its about £5 a disc. search the net for places that do this
