It's a hormonal thing that makes it happen and it will take a little time to fade but it will go away...I get a little light brown spotting (just like 3 marks the width of a pencil) in specific spots on my face every time I get preg..this is called melasma and is also hormonal. It takes mine about 4-5 months to fade but it does go away on its own. And btw that line on your stomach is called the linea negra.

Anything with Vitamin E is goo, It adds elasticacy to the skin. Even Vitamin E pills poked open and smeared over the skin. Consistancey is a key, I think. Results won't come if anything is just used sometimes. Add it to your daily routine

- added - oh, I thought we were talking stretch marks. I learned something today about the name of the line...

Unfortunately, the only thing to do is wait. The line will fade with time, but it does not always go away completely. (I had my baby last June, I could not wear a two piece last summer, but now the line is pretty much gone)

I did nothing, and mine went away. I'm getting another now that I'm pregnant again. I've seen people spend a lot of money on creams and lotions to rub on it... check all the labels - the main ingredient is Vitamin K. Go to GNC and get some of that if you're really that freaked out by it.

You cannot get rid of the linea nigra. It fades naturally. It is there even before you get pregnant but is not noticable. Before pregnancy it is called the linea alba. It darkens as a result of an increase of melanin during pregnancy and you cannot make it magically disappear

dont bother using products, the line will eventually go away on its own
Maybe its NOT going away because you keep messing with it!
ITs called the linea nigra, and will go away- mine took about 4 or 5 months to disappear...

For some women, it lasts for a couple of years. There is NOTHING to make it go away. Be patient

i've heard that it usually fades by itself, but then again, if you would like to, i heard that Palmers brand cocoa butter has a new product that is supposed to be great for stretch marks and whatnot, it's called 'Tummy Butter', it's in a small flat container for about $5. Good Luck! :)
