Have you known anyone to die from childbirth?

Yes a woman my brother knew died through child birth as she hemorrhaged so badly, but it is very rare these days as they are very quick to spot it and with all the equipment they have it's not really heard off

I have not known anyone that actually died in labor, but my grandmother almost did. She had ecclempsia and got really ill. She had such a hard time that they told her that it would be best for her to get her tubes tied.
