PChips and ECS make a lot of motherboards, but I've been reading reviews for their boards, and many of their products have glaring problems. Are they trustworthy? Also, Has anyone ever heard of Matsonic motherboards?

To be honest I am not familiar with either one.
Unless you are getting them at a very very low price I would suggest you not gamble on less known products.

Why take a chance .... reliable manufacturers like Asus or Intel offer excellent boards at very reasonable prices:

ECS makes some really good stuff, don't let the low price scare you... PCchips in my experience is low cost and low quality. If you are looking for a motherboard try this site:
