I seem to remember there used to be a statute of limitations on all crimes other than murder and now it seems many times I hear of people being arrested for crimes commited over 20 years ago...Does anyone know when the law changed regarding this?

There are statutes of limitations in most jurisdictions for almost all crimes. Murder is one of the few exceptions.

What specific crimes are you talking about, and in what jurisdiction (state or federal)?

It depends on the crime...Murder ..rape...kidnapping...have no statute of limitations...
Child molestation has until I believe in some states up until the child is 21
AND ONLY IN THE WARPED NJ...PARKING TICKETS HAVE NO TIME CONSTRAINTS...
all others to my knowledge have a time limit....What was the crime?
